WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text strings that a website (so-called “first part”) can send, while browsing, to the browser in use on your device (be it a PC, a notebook, a smartphone or a tablet; they are usually stored directly on the browser used for navigation). While browsing the site, users can also receive on their device cookies that are sent from different websites (so-called “third parties”), on which may be stored some elements (such as, images, maps, sounds, specific links, etc…) present on the site that users are visiting.
HOW MANY TYPES OF COOKIES ARE THERE?
There are two basic macro-categories, with different characteristics: technical cookies and profiling cookies. Technical cookies are generally necessary for the proper functioning of the website and to allow navigation; without them, users may not be able to properly view its pages and to use some services or functions.
Technical cookies are further labelled as:browsing or session cookies, which guarantee normal browsing and use of the website (enabling users to make a purchase or to authenticate themselves in order to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, which are integrated in technical cookies whenever they are used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregated form, on the number of users and on how they visit the website; functionality cookies enable users to browse according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language or products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
Profiling cookies are more advanced, have the task of creating user profiles and are used to send ads in line with the preferences expressed by users during navigation.
WHICH COOKIES DOES THIS WEBSITE USE?
We use technical cookies both of “first party” and “third party” aimed at ensuring the proper functioning of our site. Some of these cookies cannot be disabled as they are strictly necessary for the website to function. All other cookies can be activated / deactivated at any time by the cookie management device.
In particular, we use Google Analytics, which is a web analytics service provided by Google (Google Inc.) through the release of specific cookies on user devices. These cookies are used for the sole purpose of getting statistical information on the use of the site, that we have made anonymous by masking significant portions of the IP address. These cookies can be sent from the provider of Analytics, but are used only for purposes related to the site. In this website, we use the function of anonymizing the IP address of users provided by Google and we have accepted the Data Processing Amendment (Google Analytics Data Processing Amendment v20130906) made available by Google Analytics and with which Google is committed to process the data according to the client’s requests (the owner of this site) and not to share them with other additional services if the client does not request it, through the service settings.
If you prefer that Google Analytics does not use the data collected, you can change the configuration of each browser differently. This is described in your browser’s help menu, which will inform you on how to change your choices regarding cookies. Google Analytics cookies can also be rejected by following the procedure described by Google (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=it).
Personal Data collected: Cookies and Browsing Data.
We also use “third-party” profiling cookies which contribute to make advertising more efficient. We carry out, for example, Remarketing campaigns during which, following the collection of some information while browsing the site, we will be allowed to exploit this information to propose targeted ads based on the interests shown in the previous browsing of our website. You can activate / deactivate these cookies at any time from the cookie management device.
HOW TO BLOCK OR DELETE COOKIES
Users can set the browser on their device so that it accepts or rejects all cookies or displays a warning whenever a cookie is proposed, in order to decide whether to accept it or not. Users can, in any case, set the default configuration and disable cookies (i.e. block them definitively), by setting the highest level of protection. The ways to block or delete cookies from your device vary depending on the type of device and on the type of browser used. Interaction with social networks and external platforms Interaction services with social networks and external websites allow interaction with social networks or other external platforms directly from the pages of the site. The interactions and information acquired from the site, in these cases, are subject to the user’s privacy settings relating to each social network or external website. If a service of interaction with social networks is installed, it is possible that, even when users do not use the service, it collects traffic data related to the pages on which it is installed. Social buttons and links to external platforms can also be simple “links” that refer to the accounts of users who navigate on the social networks displayed. Therefore, using these buttons no third-party cookies are installed.
Subsequently and at any time users can disable the cookies for which they have previously given consent by following the instructions provided in this statement.
